Date and Banana Pudding 
Ingredients :
1 tbsp castor sugar to taste,500g stoneless dates,3 large bananas peeled and sliced,300ml double cream,4 tbsp warm brandy,finely grated rind of 1 orange,4 tbsp orange juice,1 tbsp sherry.
Garnish:Banana sliced,sliced dates and oranges.

Preparation :
Soak dates in warm brandy for one hour.Drain and retain brandy,halve the dates.Arrange half the dates in a serving dish.Place half the sliced bananas on top.Cover with remaining dates,then bananas.Sprinkle with sherry.Pour cream in a bowl,pour in 2 tbsp brandy, orange rind and juice,stirring constantly to prevent the cream from separating.Mix in castor sugar to taste.Then pour the flavoured cream evenly over dates and bananas.Place in the fridge for 30-45 min before serving.Decorate with sliced fruits.

Date And Sesame Wontons
A healthy dessert for the date lovers
 
Ingredients :
For the wontons
20 wonton wrappers
1/2 teacup milk
2 tablespoons powdered sugar oil for deep frying
For the stuffing
1/4 teacup sesame seeds
1/2 teacup brown sugar
1/2 teacup chopped dates
1 tablespoon soft butter
To serve
vanilla ice-cream

For the suffing
1. Toast the sesame seeds on a medium flame until they are golden. Cool.
2. Crush them coarsely.
3. Mix with the brown sugar, dates and butter.

Preparation :
1. Place about 1 teaspoon of the stuffing in the centre of each wonton wrapper.
2. Pull the edges of the dough around the filling and with the help of a little milk, twist to seal like a money bag.
3. Deep fry in oil until golden. Cool.
4. Sprinkle the powdered sugar on top.
5. Serve hot with vanilla ice-cream.
